Firefighters Battle Early Morning Blaze in Dorchester

Firefighters evacuated about 10 residents from a Dorchester apartment building after a fire broke out Sunday morning. One firefighters was treated at a hospital following the blaze, which left about $300,000 worth of damage.

Firefighters fought a 2-alarm blaze in Boston early Sunday morning.

The fire was reported around 3 a.m. at 126 Armandine St. in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood. The three-story apartment building had flames showing from the roof upon arrival.

About 10 residents were tkaen out of their homes and the fire was knocked down in about 30 minutes. Fire officials estimated about $300,000 in damage to the structure.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for undisclosed reasons but is expected to recover fully. No residents were reportedly injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
