New Survey Shows Joe Biden Leading Among NH Primary Voters

Violence and protests erupted in Wisconsin overnight after a man was fatally shot by police during a foot chase, NBC News reported. Police said the 23-year-old victim, who has not been identified, was armed with a handgun and shot dead by an officer after fleeing a traffic stop on Milwaukee’s north side Saturday afternoon. Hours later angry crowds took to the streets, smashing a police car and setting fire to another. A gas station and auto-parts store were also set alight. Police said gunshots were heard and an officer was injured by a flying brick.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett pleaded for calm at an early morning news conference, asking residents to “do everything” to help restore order. “If you love your son, if you love your daughter, text them, call them, pull them by the ears and get ’em home,” he said.

More than two dozen Democrats have announced they are running for president, but it appears former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has already won over many New Hampshire voters, as he leads in the latest poll since his announcement.

A new Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll shows Biden has support from 20% of likely voters in the New Hampshire Primary. Coming in second is Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders with 12%, followed closely by South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg at just under 12%. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren came in fourth at 8%.

The poll was released Tuesday and was administered by the Suffolk University Political Research Center, according to the Globe. Eight hundred Democrat, Republican and unaffiliated voters were reportedly surveyed from Thursday to Sunday for the poll.

The top four Democrats leading the poll reportedly made up almost 53% of support from participants.
