Police Officers Sickened During Hazmat Incident in Spencer

Police say officers were sickened Thursday night when a substance was found inside a suspect's vehicle in Spencer, Massachusetts.

According to Spencer Police, a white powder was found inside a vehicle that was pulled over.

Two police officers were light-headed and dizzy after being exposed. They were transported to a hospital. A third officer was also taken to a hospital as a precaution.

Police said a Level 1 hazmat situation was declared for cruisers and the police department.

No further information was immediately available.
