Customers who purchased tickets for the IndyCar race that was cancelled last year are now receiving their refund checks.
The Boston Globe reports that checks worth $650,000 have been sent to 1,173 customers who bought tickets to the Grand Prix of Boston in advance. Customers were originally unable to receive a refund because the company promoting the event went bankrupt.
A settlement of $925,000 towards these refunds was agreed upon in July.
Attorney General Maura Healey said that more refunds are being sent out.
