Roxbury Man Wanted in May Shooting Arrested in Atlanta

Police are investigating after a man was found fatally shot at a home in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood on Wednesday.

The Roxbury man wanted as the suspect in connection to the May shooting death of Donnell Davis was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia, on bank robbery charges Wednesday, according to Boston police.

Ricardo Jamesy Washington, 24, will also be charged with murder and the unlawful possession of a firearm, police said. There is not yet a timetable for his return to Boston for arraignment in Dorchester.

Boston police Superintendent Paul Donovan said police received a call around 10:05 a.m. on May 8 for a person shot.

"On arrival, police found an inside scene. They found an adult male with wounds," said Donovan.

Boston EMS responded and declared the victim dead at the scene. Police were looking for surveillance video from a nearby house, and in June, identified Washington as the primary suspect.
