At least three Cape Cod beaches were temporarily closed to swimming Monday after shark sightings.
Swimmers were ordered out of the water at Newcomb Hollow Beach in Wellfleet Monday morning after a shark was spotted, according to the Sharktivity app.
A great white shark was spotted off Nauset Public Beach in Orleans at 12:45 p.m., forcing the beach to close to swimming until at least 2 p.m.
A third shark was spotted shortly after 3 p.m., a little further south of the first two sightings.
