Teen Charged in Connection With Gunfire at MBTA Aquarium Stop

Massachusetts authorities say a man who stabbed his parents during a family gathering at a local restaurant over the weekend is also expected to face charges in connection with his girlfriend’s murder.

Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with gunfire last weekend that briefly shut down a Boston subway station.

Transit police announced Tuesday that the teen faces several charges including carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building in connection with the shooting just before 10 p.m. Sunday at the Aquarium stop. No one was hurt.

The boy is from the city's Roxbury neighborhood but his name was not released because he is a juvenile.

Transit police say there was some sort of dispute involving several juveniles on board a Blue Line train prior to the shooting. The disturbance continued onto the platform and at some point as the boys were exiting the station the shots were fired.
