A strong low pressure system over eastern Canada is producing gusty winds across New England today.

High temperatures range from the low 30s across the north country to low 40s across the coastal plain. Partly sunny skies prevail today with some snow showers and squalls setup across the mountains of New Hampshire and Maine. Clouds will be on the increase tonight across the region as snow showers fly in the north.

Gusty west winds continue overnight with lows dropping into the 20s. This weekend will feature partly sunny skies with winds subsiding by tomorrow night as snow showers and squalls continue across the north.

High temperatures will be in the low 30s north and low 40s south. A cold front passes through New England on Sunday, bringing a reinforcing shot of winter air into the region.

Looking ahead to the start of the work week, Monday features mostly sunny skies with highs in the 30s. Yet another day of mostly sunny skies on Tuesday with highs in the 30s.

An approaching weather system from the Great Lakes region will move into New England on Wednesday. This system is expected to be dry in with little moisture.
