A long-awaited rooftop bar has debuted at a North Shore hotel.
According to a post from Eater Boston, The Roof is now open at The Hotel Salem on Essex Street, joining a ground-floor restaurant called Counter which opened earlier this year. As reported here when the news first came out in 2015, the new spot is the only rooftop bar in Salem, and one of the only rooftop drinking places on the entire North Shore.
Based on an Instagram picture from the bar, The Rooftop features oysters, tacos, cocktails, and more, though its website does not appear to be up and running as of yet, so it is not known what else is offered there.
The address for The Roof (along with Counter and The Hotel Salem) is 209 Essex Street, Salem, MA, 01970. The website for the bar will be at https://www.theroofsalem.com/
