3rd Suspect Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Boston Police Officer's Gun: Report

Kyle Benford, 24, was arrested along with two strippers for allegedly stealing an off-duty Boston police officer's gun

Cold is relenting Friday for a noticeably more comfortable weekend in New England. While the cold may no longer be dangerous with frostbite threat, it’s still certainly stinging with daytime highs Friday in the 20s south and 10s north. Wind chill values will be in the single digits at the warmest time of the afternoon.

A third person has reportedly been arrested in connection to a Boston police officer’s stolen gun.

WJAR reports Kyle Benford, 24, was arrested on Saturday on an active warrant from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He, along with two exotic dancers from the Ocean State, are facing charges for allegedly stealing the firearm.

The gun was stolen from an unnamed off-duty officer who was “hanging out” with the two women at a Pawtucket hotel after a rendezvous in Rhode Island. Neish Rivera, 25, and Melissa Dacier, 22, were arrested last week.

Beford was arrested following a traffic stop, WJAR reports. It is unclear what his involvement in the alleged theft was.

It is unclear if either of the three suspects have an attorney.

The off-duty officer has been placed on paid leave pending the investigation.
