Would Safe Injection Sites Save Lives?

Between the COVID-19 pandemic and overdose deaths topping 2,000 a year, the health care system is being pushed to the brink in Massachusetts. Neighboring states are turning to safe consumption sites to lessen the burden on frontline health workers. NBC10 Boston medical reporter Kristy Lee traveled to Rhode Island where a new law was recently passed that will allow people to use illegal drugs like heroin in a safe environment and out of the public eye.
