Rep. Castro Says Trump Delivered Message of Consolation to Rioters, Not Condemnation

Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, said Wednesday that President Donald Trump delivered a message of consolation to rioters after the Capitol Riot. “Here’s what else he said. ‘Go home in peace.’ ‘We love you.’ ‘You’re very special,'” Castro said. “This was not a condemnation. This was a message of consolation, of support.”
