App Downloads Breaking Records, ‘Fortnite' Rakes in Millions

Apple says after a decade of trying, its business is now 100 percent powered by renewable energy. This includes all of its retail stores, its headquarters and data centers. App downloads and spending hit new records in the first quarter of this year. Between Apple and Google Play, downloads reached 27.5 billion with spending over $18 billion. The top non-game money maker was Netflix. And speaking of apps, the mobile game ‘Fortnite’ is raking in big bucks right now. The game where players go into a virtual world and try to survive against other virtual players all over the world is making Epic Games about $2 million a day.
