Apple Searching for Second HQ; IBM Inspection Tool

Just like Amazaon, Apple is searching for a second company headquarters. Apple made the announcement back in January but since then, very little has been said publicly. The Wall Street Journal, however, reports that CEO Tim Cook secretly met with North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper to discuss the possiblity of the second headquarters being in the Raleigh-Durham area. IBM is working on a device to help people inspect items. The Verifier gadget and platform connects to smartphones and can verify the authenticity of things like pills and diamonds. And there’s a whole market out there for old technology from Game Boys to iPod Nanos to rotary phones. If you have any of these items in your basement or attic, you might want to dig them out. An iPod Nano recently fetched $70 on the open market.
