Diocese Gives Priest 2nd Chance After Arrest

Father Steven Gemme pleaded guilty to stealing nearly a quarter of a million dollars from the St. Bernadette Parish and School in Northboro, Massachusetts, to feed a gambling addiction. The Worcester Diocese removed him from ministry, but after a year of proving himself while working at a men’s addiction recovery center, the diocese says he’s ready for more responsibilities.
