Getting Outside During School Vacation Week

Now that it’s finally feeling like spring in New England, there’s no better time to get outside. The Trustees, a nonprofit conservation organization, is offering activities during Massachusetts school vacation week to get families outside. “Research shows that kids are spending on average seven hours of a day of screen time. So, we at The Trustees believe it’s really important to get kids outside, connected with our environment,” said Kristen Swanberg, Director of Programming for The Trustees. Among the activities being offered are World’s End Explorers, a nature discovery program in Hingham, and Farmer for a Day at Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough.
