An experimental drug for the coronavirus has a proven benefit, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. In a study of more than 1,000 coronavirus patients from multiple sites around the world, those who took remdesivir were discharged from the hospital four days sooner than patients without it.
