Students Learning to Fly as Part of Middleboro School's Program

At the Chamberlain International School in Middleboro, Massachusetts, a therapeutic boarding school for kids dealing with a wide range of learning and emotional challenges, anything from autism spectrum disorder to complex trauma issues, educators are teaching students that their dreams can take flight. Three days a week, a select group of teenagers trade in their desks for Cessna’s at Alpha One Flight School in Plymouth as part of an extensive one-year long program. The students are learning about aircraft repair and maintenance, meteorology and they also review pre-flight checklists.
