Training for a Virtual Marathon

Boston Marathon runners prepare to face the elements — even extreme ones like the heat wave in 2012 or the wet, windy weather in 2018 — but none could have prepared for a pandemic. The April race, first postponed until September, was later cancelled due to COVID concerns. It has now been replaced with a virtual run, adding roughly 20 weeks of training.
