Monica Madeja

Monica Madeja is a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at NBC10 Boston and NECN. She joined the team in June 2015.

She has covered some of the most impactful stories in Boston, including snowstorms, the Boston Marathon and Super Bowl LII, and across the country — reporting from Las Vegas after the nation’s largest mass shooting.

She is a native of eastern Pennsylvania and worked as a reporter and anchor in Northeastern Pennsylvania at WBRE/WYOU, where she reported on record-breaking flooding, earned an Emmy nomination and helped create the region’s first ever-lifestyle show.

She began her television career as a reporter and anchor at KRCG in Missouri. She first got behind a professional mic as a radio reporter and anchor in Delaware after graduating from Temple University.

Volunteering has always been a passion and she values working with a mentor program for youth impacted by foster care. An animal lover, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband showing their shelter dogs the best adventures in New England.
