The Vax Express is the latest way to encourage Massachusetts residents to get their coronavirus vaccine. The specially-equipped commuter rail train has been on the move since Wednesday, stopping in communities with low vaccination rates. Commuter rail operator Keolis says they’ve given out dozens of shots at each location, and the biggest turnout was in Worcester. They’ll make one more stop at Fitchburg Station on Sunday.

The number of patients in Massachusetts hospitals with confirmed COVID-19 cases fell to 107. Of those currently hospitalized, 32 are listed as being in intensive care units and 19 are intubated.

More than 8.4 million vaccine doses have been administered in Massachusetts as of Saturday. That includes more than 4.3 million first shots and more than 3.8 million second shots of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. There have been more than 268,000 doses of the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine administered.
Health officials reported that 4,072,128 Bay State residents have been fully vaccinated as of Saturday.
