Clearing Overnight, Mixed Bag Sunday

Today (Saturday): Morning shower and fog to splashes of sun between clouds. Highs in the 60s inland, 50s near the coast. Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Showers move in late. Lows in the 40s to near 50. Sunday: Rain likely for many, driest Northern New England. Highs in the 50s to near 60.

Another weekend, and more showers around New England. The last time Boston had a totally dry weekend was St. Patrick’s Day weekend in March!

Fortunately, most of the rain is already done today, but we’ll still have a few spot showers from time to time, along with lots of clouds. Eventually some sunshine will develop, particularly north and west of Boston.

Near the coast, where the clouds are most persistent and winds stay onshore, highs will only be in the 50s. Inland, where we get a bit more sun and we avoid the seabreeze, temperatures will be in the 60s to near 70.

We stay mostly cloudy overnight, with patchy fog developing. Lows will be in the 40s to near 50.

Sunday brings a split to New England, with more showers in Southern New England, and some sun in Northern New England. As a result, expect 50s south and 60s north for highs.

Monday is finally brighter for all of us, with highs mainly in the 60s.

Tuesday starts bright too, but clouds and showers come back in late day. Some of those showers linger into very early Wednesday.

For much of next week, despite more mid-week showers, temperatures should end up near or a little above average.
