Marconi Beach Closed to Swimming After Shark Sightings

A Cape Cod beach was temporarily shut down to swimming Friday after multiple shark sightings. 

According to the Sharktivity app, Marconi Beach in Wellfleet was temporarily closed to swimming for at least an hour at 9:35 a.m. The no-swimming order was later extended to 12 p.m. after another sighting.  

Sharks have been sighted off Cape Cod over 200 times this year, according to the app.
