Some Showers on Coast Ahead of Late Day Sunshine

Stubborn clouds, returning rain southeast Massachusetts ends as wet snowflakes. Temperatures in the 40s for most. Overnight Monday: Clearing and cold. Lows in the 20s, 10s north.

You won’t need your rain gear this morning, except if you live on the Cape or the Islands.

Showers may linger at the coast through mid-morning. Clouds will eventually clear and we should see some late day sunshine. The good news is, the mountains miss MOST of this rain. Thankfully, ski country HAS picked up a significant amount of snow over the last several weeks.

Later today will be rather mild with high temperatures in the mid-40s. Tuesday will be cooler with increasing clouds and high temperatures in the mid-30s.

Another round of unsettled weather will return by Wednesday and Thursday. We aren’t expecting heavy rain, but the 48-hour rainfall totals could be around a half inch. Temperatures will warm significantly by Thursday as highs climb into the mid-50s.

Temperatures for the remainder of the 10-day forecast period look to stay above freezing. High temperatures will likely reach the upper 30s and to 40s on most days.
