Woman Attacked, Pepper Sprayed Near Tufts Med Center

One of the suspects sprayed pepper spray and hit the victim in the head with an unknown object

A woman was attacked by three people while walking near Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Monday evening. according to Tufts police.

The victim, who is not a member of the Tufts community, reported to police that while she was walking on Harrison Ave. near the Jaharis building at approximately 6:40 p.m., she was approached by two males and a female. One of the suspects sprayed pepper spray into the victim’s face and hit her in the head with an unknown object. One of the suspects attempted to pull the victim’s backpack from her back but was unsuccessful.

The alleged attackers entered a parked silver Jeep Cherokee and fled on Harrison Ave., turning right onto Nassau Street. A partial Massachusetts license plate was reported as BPS198.

The victim was treated by Boston EMS.

Tufts police are being joined by Boston police in an investigation of the incident.
