A 5-Court Pickleball Bar Is Headed to Southie

Pickleball — a sport still unknown to many, yet which surged in popularity during the pandemic — is about to come to Boston in a big way.

PKL, a 22,000-square-foot restaurant and bar, is slated to open in the coming weeks with five courts for pickleball, a smaller, easier and less strenuous version of tennis and similar to badminton.
