Two Boston Men Accused of Operating Major Drug Ring

Two Boston men are facing charges after managing a drug operation out of the city, running drugs to Framingham and Natick, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.

A Massachusetts drug ring worth millions in profit was shut down Thursday, according to authorities.

Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan says two Boston men have been arrested after managing a drug operation out of the city, running drugs to Framingham and Natick.

"It was a very big operation in terms of profit and product," Ryan said. "These individuals were operating an 'order by phone' situation where customers were able to place an order and that same day, have the order delivered to their home."

Officials say 26-year-old Johann Gonzalez and 31-year-old Jaime Colon-Bermudez, both of Boston, were arrested.

A large amount of heroin, cocaine and drug money came off the streets after a major drug investigation in Framingham and Natick.

In the bust, police seized 650 grams of heroin, some of it laced with fentanyl, often known as "fire" on the streets due to its red marking.

They also took in 350 grams of suspected cocaine and $60,000 in cash.

The DA's office, Massachusetts State Police, the MetroWest Drug Task force and the Framingham Police Department all worked on the joint investigation.

Gonzalez was caught on Route 9 in the Natick area Thursday morning. Colon-Bermudez was caught in Boston at a home on Woodgate Street.

A search warrant also executed on Hewins Street in Boston, where Ryan says people were being trained to run drugs, and where the drugs were being dispatched from.

Both suspects were arraigned separately on Friday. It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys.
