Police Investigate Sexual Assault Attempt in Boston's South End

Police are investigating an attempted sexual assault in Boston's South End.

A victim told police a man approached her around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of East Canton Street and Albany Street and tried to assault her. She said she was able to fight off the suspect and get away.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect running to a nearby alley.

Police describe the man as being in his early 20s and between 5'6 and 5'8 with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a baseball cap, a blue jacket with lettering on the back, a shirt with "24" on the front, blue jeans and black shoes.
