A California-based group of restaurants that is backed by one of the most successful restaurateurs in the country is opening its first location in the Boston area (and Massachusetts).
According to a press release, Tender Greens is planning to open at The Street, a mixed-used development in Chestnut Hill that is also home to Shake Shack. The release says that Danny Meyer, whose New York-based Union Square Hospitality Group operates the Shake Shack restaurants, is also an investor in Tender Greens, whose Chestnut Hill location will be open for lunch and dinner and will focus on seasonal and responsibly-sourced comfort food. If all goes as planned, the new eatery will be opening in the spring of 2018.
