    The Lawn On D Returns to Boston for 6th Season

    The Lawn On D will return to Boston for a sixth season with annual events and plenty of new ones!

    The event opens to the public on May 2 at The Signature Pavilion next to the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, with its official 'Swing Into Spring' kickoff May 4 followed by the annual 'Cinco De Mayo celebration' May 5.

    "As the stewards of Boston's most innovative and active public space, we are proud to again deliver a diverse mix of free, high-quality community programming for guests of all ages at The Lawn On D," said David Gibbons, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority. "The Lawn's popularity continues to grow every season and we look forward to celebrating with our guests in an environment that is safe, fun, and educational."

    The monthly Signature Event Series will resume as well with two popular family events: Summer Block Party and Pumpkin Palooza. Both have been extended by two days.

    Other key events include:

    June 16: Take Me Out to the Ballgame – Highlights include the famous Red Sox Showcase, a live Red Sox game shown on a jumbotron, photo ops, and a variety of fun activities.

    July 6 and 7: Summer Block Party – Bubble soccer, mini golf, rock climbing, and a return of the Blue Man Group

    Sept. 14 – TBA

    Oct. 26 and 27 - Pumpkin Palooza – Halloween fun for all ages and thousands of free pumpkins

    A new addition this year is the "Bar in a Box" which officials said debuted during The Lawn On D's winter pop-up Chillin’ On D. The full-service bar, created from a refurbished 20-foot shipping container, will be located near the Westin.
