A female victim was shot to death early Saturday morning in Boston's South End, authorities confirmed.
Police responded after 5 a.m. for reports of shots fired near 601 Shawmut Avenue. Officers were told that a person was shot outside 18 Lattimore Court.
The victim was found with life-threatening injuries. She was transported to Boston Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit is investigating.
