Another Round of Rain

Numerous rivers crested above flood stage on this Easter Sunday. Thankfully the flooding was more of an inconvenience than it was a serious problem. Roads were closed and some were washed out, but there were no reports of significant structural damage.

Unfortunately, we may be dealt with another round of rain over the next 24 hours. Temperatures were pleasantly mild in the 60s and 70s with 50s along the immediate coast.

Overnight, clouds partially clear out. Patchy fog may redevelop along the coast. A coastal storm will be moving in during the day on Monday. It’s still too early to tell where the axis of heaviest rain will set up, but localized amounts of 1-2 inches will be possible. The worst case scenario would before this area of rain to set up in the mountains where we received the most significant rain over the weekend.

Tuesday through Thursday will be fairly quiet. A cold front will be moving through on Wednesday. Showers may line the front, but at this point it does not look like an all day rain. Rain returns on Friday and could linger into Saturday morning. Sunday looks like the pick of the weekend with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 60s.

Currently, the following week looks fairly quiet. Temperatures will be a little cool – especially on Monday and Wednesday with highs only in the mid 50s. Showers are possible midweek.
