Police are searching for the man who allegedly robbed a convenience store in Chelsea, Massachusetts while wielding a baseball bat on Tuesday night.

Surveillance video showed the incident taking place at the Corner Market on Broadway at about 8 p.m., according to police.

Authorities said the suspect took cash, lottery tickets, and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

Despite suffering minor injuries, the clerk, Sanjay Patel, was back at work on Friday.

"I'm good," he said.

Police said detectives canvassed the area following the incident and were reviewing all other surveillance videos.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s who was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, red and black gloves, a black mask, and black shoes.

One man who shops at Corner Market regularly says the owners are a hardworking couple and that he feels bad for them.

"He's a little shaken up, but you know, they're great people that are hurt and it's unfortunate that this happened to them," Soleil Painting said.
