Unfounded Bomb Threat Closes Streets Near Worcester City Hall

Worcester police investigated a bomb threat near city hall Wednesday afternoon, closing Front Street, but found no suspicious devices, authorities said.

Police had asked drivers through Twitter to avoid the area near Main and Front streets due to a police investigation.

The department said a bomb had bene reported at Worcester Plaza, but police K-9 dogs searched hte building and found no devices.

There was a heavy police and fire presence there, according to The Worcester Telegram.
