3 Students Taken to Hospital After School Van, Truck Collide

Three elementary school students were taken to a medical center for evaluation Thursday after a collision involving a private school van and another vehicle in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Police said the van collided with a pickup truck at Fuller and Bartlett streets shortly before nine this morning.

Three elementary school students were on board the private van. An ambulance transported them to Good Samaritan Medical Center for evaluation, police said.

Brockton Public Schools said the private van was not contracted by the district and that students attended the Arnone School.

The students were "alert and talking with emergency personnel at the scene" and taken the hospital as a precaution, the district said.

There was no immediate word about cause of the accident. The accident remained under investigation.
