Police are searching for the suspect or suspects that fatally gunned down a man in his car Wednesday night in the city's Dorchester neighborhood.
After receiving reports of multiple shots fired, officers arrived to Brook Street at 9:45 p.m. where a man in his early 30s was found suffering from gunshot wounds in a gray car.
The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said authorities believe the victim was targeted.
"From all indications — it's a quiet street — obviously someone knew he was sitting here. We believe he was targeted in this assault," Evans said.
Following the shooting, detectives went door-to-door searching for information and had a K9 crew search the area.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
