Large crowds gathered at City Hall Plaza this afternoon in anticipation of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
"I'm hyped," Donald Capeau, of Rockland, said. "It's Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final! We want it, we want the cup. It's our day."
Fans had predictions about how the game would go.

"Pastrnak is gonna get the first goal of the game," Capeau said.
And they were excited about the festivities downtown.
"Why it's worth it to be here in Boston with all the fans around here," Capeau said. "It's the city of champions! Look at this crowd. Look at it!"
The City of Boston teamed up with the National Hockey League to host a free-to-the-public watch party and celebration at City Hall Plaza beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The concert started at 6 p.m. and featured performances by artists including rapper Lil Nas X and country musician Chase Rice.
After the entertainment, fans watched the Bruins take on the St. Louis Blues.
Fans across the region, and even Canada, came to Boston to watch the game.
"Fourteen hours of driving yesterday, to come here and watch the Stanley Cup Final," said Mike Caben, of Ontario, Canada. "I'm a diehard fan. Simple."
Area businesses hosting fans are also anticipating serving the uptick of customers.
"Compared to any Monday honestly, it's going to be a tremendous amount of people, and it's going to be super fun," said Brandon Pitman, general manager of the Kinsale Irish Pub and Restaurant in Boston. "We are totally stoked about it."
"My boss was actually speaking to me this morning, sent a couple emails saying to expect the best. And we are, honestly," said Pitman.
The Boston Bruins defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-2 in Game 1.
