Jayson Tatum’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer in overtime lifted the Celtics to a dramatic victory over the Raptors.

Jayson Tatum lifted the Celtics to a win over the Raptors with a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime. Tatum had a similar opportunity to win the game in the final seconds of regulation but he missed the shot. He got a second chance in OT and made the Raptors pay.

Tatum finished one assist short of a triple-double. He had 24 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 27 points on 8-of-16 shooting. Al Horford played a huge role in the win with a season-high 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting from 3-point range.

All five Celtics starters scored in double-digits, and Sam Hauser scored a season-high 14 points off the bench.

The Raptors deserve a lot of credit for staying in this game on the second night of a back-to-back with four players (including Scottie Barnes) out of the lineup due to injuries. Toronto center Jakob Poeltl was dominant with a career-high 35 points. RJ Barrett tallied his first career triple-double with 25 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. The Raptors outscored the Celtics 76-42 in the paint.

Abby Chin caught up with Jayson Tatum immediately after he hit the game-winning buzzer beater against the Toronto Raptors.

The Toronto Raptors put up a heck of a fight in Saturday night's game at TD Garden, but the Boston Celtics ultimately emerged victorious 126-123 in overtime thanks to a buzzer-beating 3-point shot by Jayson Tatum.

The last play looked like it was drawn up for Jaylen Brown, but he got knocked to the floor before he could get the ball, so Tatum stepped up and took the shot. After missing a potential buzzer beater in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, Tatum took advantage of the opportunity in overtime to end the game.

His buzzer beater sent the Garden crowd into a frenzy as the C's improved to 11-3 on the season.

"Man, I missed so many shots in the second half, I was bound to hit one," Tatum told NBC Sports Boston's Abby Chin after the game, as seen in the video player above. "We had a couple options (on the last play). A live catch, we got the scrum action, JB got ran over and I thought they were gonna call a foul. I had to make a play."
