    Some Emerging Sun Soon

Today (Wednesday): Clouds and some sun, drying fall air. Highs in the 60s.
Overnight Wednesday Night: Variable clouds. Lows in the 60s.
Thursday: Limited sun, mild. Highs in the 70s.

The same front that brought the cool air Monday lifted back to the north with warmer air Tuesday night. The temperature went up as the sun goes down.

But there was also quite a bit of energy -- fog and drizzle turned into downpours and thunderstorms. Most of that action is east of us and moving out to sea Wednesday morning.

As the wind comes in from the northwest, low clouds should start to shrink away, allowing for some sunshine and highs around 70. Mostly clear Wednesday night, with lows in the 40s and 50s and heavy dew in the grass at sunrise on Thursday.

Thursday should be warmer – well into the 70s with sunshine – before a cold front swings through New England with an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm.

High pressure from Canada arrives Thursday night, delivering cool and dry air for Friday and Saturday. The next front on Saturday will diminish as it approaches northern New England late Saturday with a chance of showers. However, that front will pull warmer air in for Sunday with sunshine returning.

Even as the fair weather dome moves east of us early next week, it will still be expanding and strengthening, meaning fair weather should continue into midweek with highs near 80 by Wednesday in our exclusive Early Warning Weather 10-day forecast.
