After such a soggy travel day across New England, the precipitation finally moves out into the early evening hours, besides a few lingering showers at the immediate coastline. As the system departs, skies will clear and temperatures will tumble overnight.

Lows are expected to slip into the upper teens near the Canadian border, 20s for the rest of the North Country. Expect upper 20s in southern New England, with Southeastern Massachusetts and the immediate coastlines in the lower 30s. For the Thanksgiving holiday, it will be sun-filled, but colder, with temperatures starting off in the upper 20s for most, so bundle up if you are participating in any of the Turkey Trots that are taking place Thursday morning. By the afternoon, temperatures slide to near 40°.

Black Friday brings another mostly sunny day with highs into the mid to upper 40s. Then, a warm-up for the first half of the weekend ushers in highs into the 50s, but don’t get used to the warmth, as Mother Nature brings another cold front in time for the second half of the weekend. Sunday could feature more cloud cover and a few flurries into the higher elevations. Highs reach into the lower 40s, which is where we start off the work week before another warm-up pops up by midweek.
