The procession for slain Weymouth Police Department Sgt. Michael Chesna was held Thursday as officials carried his casket from the McDonald-Keohane Funeral Home in Weymouth, Massachusetts, to St. Mary's Church in Hanover.
Chesna, who was posthumously promoted from officer to sergeant, was shot and killed on Sunday, July 15, 2018. He responded to a call of a crashed vehicle when Emanuel Lopes, 20, allegedly threw a large rock at his head then opened fire on him with the officer's own gun.
