Man Dead After Shooting Near Jamaica Plain Playground, MBTA Station

The man is in his mid-40s, police said

One man has died after being shot Wednesday evening.

The victim was shot at 950 Parker Street in Jamaica Plain around 6:50 p.m., Boston police said. That man, who police said was in his mid-40s, was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

He has not been identified by police yet.
