Bruins Trade Lucic

The Boston Bruins have dealt longtime left wing Milan Lucic to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for goaltender Martin Jones and the 13th pick in Friday's NHL Draft, according to a report by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.ca.

Lucic confirmed to NBC's Pro Hockey Talk that he had indeed been traded to Los Angeles.

The deal, coming on the heels of the B's trade of defenseman Dougie Hamilton to Calgary, means the Bruins will pick 13th through 15th in the draft, with the Kings' and Flames' picks bookending their own.

With the whole center of the draft belonging to the Bruins, it's not unreasonable to think GM Don Sweeney may package the selections to move up or acquire a different player.

Lucic, who turned 27 this month, has been a mainstay on the TD Garden ice since 2007. He amassed 139 goals and 203 assists in eight seasons.
