The new year began with a bang for some people in Peabody, Massachusetts, but not probably not the type they were expecting.
Just before 4 a.m. Thursday, a car crashed into a house on Lynn Street.
Two other houses were damaged when the driver hit a pole and parked cars before coming to rest against the home.
The two people in the car were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No one in the house was hurt.
Peabody Police say the driver may be charged.
