    East Bridgewater Addressing Dangerous Intersection

Authorities are concerned about an intersection in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, that people say is dangerous.

It's been accident after accident after accident in a 5-way intersection in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

"Just a mess," said John Shaughnessy.

"I've witnessed at least least 30 accidents," said Shirley Lounsbury. "And a fatality."

It can be difficult to see oncoming traffic in spots, and there is no traffic signal to help.

"I'm scared to drive out of my own driveway," said Danielle Sherman, who lives just off the chaotic intersection at Plymouth Street and Washington Street in East Bridgewater. "Every time I hear a screech or horns, we think that a car is going to go flying through our house."

Police say the area has been a concern for years, and in the wake of two more crashes this week, they're taking new steps to try to help the situation.

Large message boards have just been brought in, warning drivers to slow down. There will be more traffic officers, and LED stop signs have been ordered.

"All you'll hear every day is screeching and beeping," said Shaughnessy, who lives steps from the intersection. "Every now and then, it's a crash."

For 18 years, Lounsbury has been a waitress at Johnny Macaroni's, which looks out at the intersection.

She drives through it every day.

What is a girl to do when she decides to come out to her mom? Get Harry Styles to help. The One Direction crooner decided to give "Grace" a hand after seeing her handmade sign that said "I'm gonna come out to my parents because of you!!!"

"It's bad," said Lounsbury. "You have to come to almost a complete stop to look all four ways, five ways, to make sure you're safe to continue on."

Neighbors are skeptical about the changes, saying the only options that would really work would be a traffic signal or a complete redesign of the intersection.
