High School Night Custodian Charged With Larceny Skips Arraignment

A night custodian for a Massachusetts high school is wanted after being arrested for larceny and not appearing in court for his arraignment.

Thirty-four-year-old Lamar Wright of Boston is accused of using a stolen credit card at a convenience store. Police arrested him Friday morning. He was freed on personal recognizance, but he did not appear when he was due in court later in the day.

Wright, who works at Chelmsford High School through a third party, was allegedly seen in surveillance footage stealing property at the school and using the stolen card at a convenience store.

The charges against Wright include two counts of larceny, receiving stolen property under $250 and fraudulent use of a credit card.

"The defendant betrayed the trust of the administration, staff and students at the high school," said Chelmsford Polce Chief James Spinney in a statement.
