A Boston police officer was hurt in Mattapan Wednesday afternoon, and a minor is in custody, officials said.
The officer was injured in the elbow and is expected to survive after the incident, which took place on Blue Hill Avenue near Woolson Street about 5:13 p.m., according to the Boston Police Department.
The juvenile who was taken into custody wasn't immediately identified, and it wasn't immediately clear what took place in the incident.
