Boston

Cool and Wet June Weather

It sure didn't feel like June Monday.

Temperatures stayed in the low 50s with cloudy skies and on-and-off rain. Most areas received between a half and three quarters of an inch. It's a much-needed rain, since Boston recorded a 1.5-inch rainfall deficit during the month of May. This unsettled weather will be sticking around.

Overnight clouds may clear temporarily, but they'll fill back in but Tuesday morning. With an offshore breeze, it will be slightly warmer. Temperatures will recover into the 60s during the afternoon. Another round of rain will arrive during the evening and could linger into the day on Wednesday.

As low pressure moves off the coast Wednesday, wind will turn onshore again and temperatures will stay in the 50s once again. Showers and clouds begin to clear by Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday looks brighter and warmer with high temperatures in the low 70s. Showers return to close out the week, but it will be warm during the day Friday.

At this point, the weekend could feature a couple of showers, but it will be much nicer than the start of this week. Even if we see showers, we are not anticipating a washout. Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will range from the low to mid 70s.

As we begin the next work week, the weather looks fantastic. We are expecting mostly sunny skies and temperatures comfortable warm in the mid to upper 70s.
