Following Friday Showers, Mostly Sunny Weekend Ahead

After receiving heavy rain this morning and spotty downpours this afternoon, we have a real treat this weekend. High pressure will take over and we will continue to see lowering humidity through Sunday with plenty of dry weather.

Overnight lows will be in the 60s as humidity drops and the sky clears. Sunshine pours across the northeast Saturday with this day being the pick of the weekend for all. Highs will be in the 80s for most, a couple of places could reach 90 degrees. Sunday will be another sunny day and even drier air takes over with highs in the 80s again. Northern New England has a chance for more clouds and spot shower or storm in the heat of the afternoon.

We keep the 10-day forecast dry next week, until about late Wednesday. Then a daily chance for rain and storms will return through the start to the following weekend.

Temperatures increase to the low 90s briefly before falling to the low 80s next weekend.

The remnants from Barry may enhance our rain chances for the end of the week, surging tropical air our way. Stay tuned for updates!
