Flames engulfed the building that was once home to a popular bar in Hanson, Massachusetts, on Thursday afternoon.
The fire broke out just after 3 p.m. at the former JJ's Pub on Liberty Street and quickly reached three alarms.
Authorities said crews worked for hours battling the blaze in massive heat. By 6 p.m., they were still dousing hotspots at the now vacant building.
No injuries were reported.
National Grid had to shut off power in the immediate area to allow firefighters to work safely.
"About 200 customers may be impacted and power will be restored as soon as it is safe to do so," read a joint statement from Hanson Police and Fire.
Fire officials confirmed just before 11 p.m. that power was back on.
